PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear GSC Members,
I would like to start this message by acknowledging and thanking all of our volunteers and staff, without which we would not be able to run this organization. I believe that our club is special because of the dedicated individuals who devote countless hours to provide an opportunity for kids to have a safe and fun place to play soccer in Georgetown. To all of our coaches, managers, convenors, committee members, board members, staff and other volunteers, thank you for everything that you do!
This past year was very successful for GSC as a club. Our house league program has returned strong following the pandemic and we were even able to run our opening and closing day celebrations. Looking forward to next summer, we are forecasting growth which is extremely exciting to see young kids growing their passion for the game of soccer!
Our competitive and development teams have also had a successful year, including successes for many teams both in league play and in tournaments.
We also saw the return of our annual Eustace Collins Memorial Tournament in 2022. The tournament was a huge success drawing entries from teams all across the province. Plans are already underway to make this year's tournament bigger and better!
Off the field we have been working on bettering our connection to our members through an updated and more user friendly website, more frequent posts to social media and working to increase messaging to members. As always we want our members to be able to easily provide feedback to us so we can continue to better our organization and provide the best possible experience for the players on the field.
Looking forward, we as a club will be developing a new strategic plan in 2023 to help guide the direction of our organization in the coming years. We believe that we have a tremendous opportunity to grow the game of soccer in our area and are very excited about working with our membership to achieve our goals!
I wish everyone a fun and enjoyable soccer season and look forward to seeing everyone at the field.
