Steven Lee Award

Steven Lee was an avid soccer player and coach in Georgetown.  He believed in fair play and felt that sportsmanship and a positive attitude outweighed a player's skill on the field.  When Steven passed away at the age of 43, the Lee Family created an award in his memory to recognize players who exemplify these important but often-overlooked qualities.

 

Each year, the GSC asks each of its house league coaches to nominate a player from their team for the Steven Lee Award.  From all the nominations received, 4 players are selected and presented with a commemorative plaque, one boy and one girl from the mini teams (U10 and under) and one boy and one girl from the older teams (U11 and up).  These four players represent all those nominated for this award.
